Delay on vocal and choral parts
I banged on about this about a year ago, and so forgive me raising the issue again, but unfortunately it is still prevalent:-
Voice parts for all choral parts lag behind the beat, and behind any instrumental part by a fraction of a second, enough to ruin playback. All the time.
It is embarrassing to send people the playbacks of my compositions. If I add an instrument like a piano to the score, it proves what is happening, even though to the less sensitive listener it may hide the effect.
On a slow choral piece it matters less, because the difference is not so noticeable, of course. But on a faster or rhythmic piece, it is just unacceptable. Is it because the sound fonts for voices just can't cope with entering on time? For a choirmaster like myself, if my choir sang this way I'd give up conducting!
I still find (and this was acknowledged by several commentators) that staccato notes make matters worse!!
Please could this be addressed somehow.
I don't notice any problems with anything but vocal parts. All other instruments seem to play exactly to the metronome beat.
Thanks.

Yeah, as far as I know, There's been no change. And as you know, this and other issues are why some use other instruments for their choir music
You wouldn't stop conducting. Maybe you could do the opposite of what some orchestra conductors do. There are those that conduct a half beat or so ahead of the music.
Have you checked on Github to see if there is a report already?

Thanks bob, I've always been a bit scared of Github, not being a technical person.

As for conducting a half beat ahead of the music - so true for real choir situations ;)) but in Musescore different parts have different relative delays according to the speed they are moving, so the output is chaotic and we are really stumped!!

Well, at this point I doubt that anything is going to be done about the delay. And the choir isn't the only problem.
For your own sanity you might consider the paid choir option.
Did I suggest KBH Real Choir to you before? You can get it here:https://huggingface.co/spaces/asigalov61/Advanced-MIDI-Renderer/blob/a9…. Click the download button on the left side. There is a slight separation between notes and a definite start of each note. Not like Muse choir. There aren't section voices, but if you assign the mix choir to the tenor line (for example) you won't hear female voices. The bass only goes down to G2, however.

Also, Marc gave a quick guide without much detail to hide but still hear your piano part. They all work, but the first one is all done in one place without using the mixer.
With your score open, open the Layout tab (not the layout palette). Click on the down arrow to the right of the eyeball for the piano. This revels the treble and bass staves. Move your mouse pointer to the treble in between the eyeball and the word "treble clef", and left click. Then close the treble eyeball. This hides the treble clef, but you can still hear it. Do the same for the Bass.
